These TFS POW photos are from a scrapbook dedicated to Tiger Survivor POW Died Captured Art Books.

This scrapbook has about 120 photos and clippings of POWs.   (will be adding a link to space )

89 = TFS POWs Total

38 = TFS POWs Died Captured

51 = POWs Released

72 TFS POWs signed the Red Cross List dated July 17, 1950.  The POWs that signed the RED Cross List was Captured sometime between July 5th (on or near the Osan Hill) or July 6-8 after the retreat trying to get back to friendly lines.

 17 TFS POWs were captured after July 8, 1950.  Their names do not appear on the Red Cross List.

I have divided the TFS POW’s into 3 groups.

Group 1:  The TFS POW’s who were captured on or near the hill shortly after the battle.

Their names are on the Red Cross List.  Nugent, Gross,  Colford etc… (15 POW photo)

Group 2: TFS POW’s captured July 6 – 8.  Their names are also on the Red Cross List.

This Group 2 can be further grouped by when and who they were with when they were capturedn.

          Jack Goodwin Group: Goodwin, Gartin etc.

          Jansen Cox Group:  New York Times, July 6, 1950. One group of 36 Americans led by 2d Lt. Jansen C. Cox was captured on 6 July southeast of Osan.

Group 3: TFS POW’s who were captured after July 9, 1950.  These POW’s names are not on the Red Cross List that is dated July 17, 1950.

POW Group 2

The 3 photos below are TFS POWs Group 2 captured July 6 – 7, 1950.

This photo was taken shortly after they were captured and they are not in Seoul yet.

[59] 24th Div G-2 PW Interrog File, 6-22 Jul 50. On 11 July an enemy radio broadcast from Seoul first used PW’s for propaganda purposes. Capt. Ambrose H. Nugent, of the 52d Field Artillery Battalion, read a statement of about a thousand words in English. The Seoul radio said Nugent was one of seventy-two Americans captured at Osan from the 21st Infantry and the 52d Field Artillery Battalion. Gimlet4ever Notes:  I will add more notes to this.  Eli identified Gramberg and Fox for me.  Ferguson was identified by someone else.

Lt Fox (TFS) came to Seoul about 3 weeks later then the TFS POW group 1 and 2 (red cross group)

 I had assumed that this TFS POW photo was taken later then the other TFS POW  photos because Gramberg and Fox are in this photo and they were captured later.  I am a little confused as why Ferguson is in this photo because he is on the Red Cross List.

I will admit that it does look like Ferguson.
